I've cloned myself! Well, sort of.
Because life has kept me from writing any new novels, I decided to carve out some time to revise a couple of old ones I had laying around. Problem is, they're not westerns.
No, I haven't quit writing historical western romance. Never! But I have branched out and created another pen name for myself - Scarlet Knight. 'She' has scheduled the release of two paranormal romance books before the end of the year.
To celebrate, Truelove Press is hosting a giveaway. All you have to do is sign up for Scarlet Knight's newsletter (details at the end of this post.) Grand prize is a $50 gift card to Amazon.com!
The first book, An Honorable Man, is available for pre-order on Kindle and Nook. It releases Friday, November 9th. Book two of the Sweetwater Duet is set for an early December release.
Contest details: No purchase is necessary. To enter, sign up for Scarlet Knight's newsletter. Three prizes - a swag goodie bag, an autographed copy of An Honorable Man, and a $50 gift card to Amazon.com - will be awarded to three random entrants. Winners must be 18 or older, live in the continental US, and be willing to privately disclose a mailing address to claim prize. Contest ends November 30th, 2018. Winners will be announced on Melissa Maygrove's writer's blog on Dec. 4th.
Winners will be contacted privately and have 7 days to respond. After 7 days, publisher reserves the right to choose another winner.

"A Night of Love and Letters: Houston Romance Authors Read to Celebrate Valentine's Day"
Writespace, a grassroots literary group in Houston, is hosting a Valentine's day fundraiser and has invited me to do a reading for the event!
"Join us on Valentine's for a romantic candlelight literary reading and fundraiser at Writespace. Come as a single or bring that special someone to enjoy passionate readings by Houston romance writers Melissa Maygrove and Jessica Trapp. We will have wine, beer provided by St. Arnold's Brewery, and chocolate pairings provided by Whole Foods Houston, as well as a love-letter writing contest for a 100$ Gift Certificate to a Writespace workshop.
If you're rusty on your love-letter writing skills, never fear, as Writespace's director Elizabeth White-Olsen will offer a quick primer on the Do's and Don'ts of writing love letters based on classic and contemporary examples. To participate in the contest, bring along an original love letter or love poem and be prepared to read it (or have a friend read it!) before our guests. Your love letter can be heartfelt and addressed to a real person (your spouse or secret crush), funny and addressed to someone you haven't technically met (Elvis or "the man of my dreams"), or it can be entirely fictional, written from one imagined character to another. An audience vote will decide who wins the prize!
Come celebrate Valentine's at an unforgettably unique event and support a great cause, as proceeds will go to fund future Writespace workshops and scholarships."
